    Description

    We are seeking an experienced, collaborative, and forward-thinking Nurse Leader to join our Urgent Care team. This is an exciting opportunity to support clinical excellence, team development, patient experience and efficient daily operations within a fast paced urgent care environment.

    Nurse Leader - Urgent Care - Days/Evenings 

    Schedule: Full time, 40 hours per week, holiday and weekend requirements. We have 3 Urgent Care Centers in Canandaigua, Newark and Farmington. May be needed to cover at any of these centers. Our Urgent Care Centers are open 7 days per week, 8a-8p daily.

    Main Job Responsibilities:

    • Assist the  Nurse Manager in overseeing the clinical nursing practice and patient care delivery 
    • Responsible for assigning duties appropriately to associates
    • Serve as a role model for professional nursing and ancillary staff, sharing the responsibility of patient outcomes
    • Coordinates resources to meet and exceed the needs and expectations of our customers
    • Provides leadership and support to the nursing staff by demonstrating the ability to do the following:
      • fosters collegial interdisciplinary and physician relationships utilizing excellent communication skills
      • serves as a clinical resource and mentor
      • provides coordination of department activity and patient throughput
      • provides feedback in the evaluation of staff performance
      • facilitates unit activity to assure excellence in clinical outcomes and quality measures 
    • Actively supports the philosophy, vision, mission, goals and objectives of the Department of Nursing and the Health System  
    • Responsible for management of human resources:
      • fostering interdisciplinary, collaborative relationships within the department and institution as a whole

    Qualifications:

    • NYS license as a registered nurse - Required
    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
    • Current 

    Education:  

    • A graduate of an approved school of nursing required
    • BSN required
    • National certification preferred 

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 years experience in urgent care, acute care, occupational medicine or emergency department required
    • Evidence of previous leadership experience preferred

    Position Pay Range:$43.00-53.00/hour 

    Starting Pay:Based on experience
