As the Infection Preventionist, you will collect and analyze data, maintains infection control practices and reporting of infections as well as maintaining Antibiotic Stewardship practices. This role will foster a positive, supportive environment for residents, families, and team members. The Nurse Infection Preventionist is responsible for the development and implementation of on-going educational programs for the Nursing Department at Acacia Health Center.

Who you are:
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: Current Arizona RN license required.
Two years of leadership or training and development experience in skilled nursing, hospital, or long-term care environment required.
Wound certification preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic mathematical skills required.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to understand, follow and support established policies and procedures of the facility; ability to recognize emergency situations and respond appropriately; ability to plan, organize and prioritize assignments efficiently; ability to work effectively with minimum supervision; ability to adapt teaching to the situation and diversity of learners.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Current CPR/BLS certification.
Computer literacy requirred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Leadership and teaching skills required.
Understanding and empathy of the uniqueness of the needs of the elderly required.
