ORGANIZATION: Milestone Centers Inc.

DEPARTMENT: HCQU

POSITION: Nurse

STATUS: Full Time; 37.5 hours / week

SCHEDULE: Weekdays, 37.5 hours per week (Daylight hours, No weekends or holidays)

LOCATION: Warren, PA

SALARY: $34.00/hr

 

Milestone Centers, a subsidiary of Partners For Quality Inc., is a nonprofit, community-based human services agency supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges and intellectual & developmental disabilities in communities throughout Western Pennsylvania. 

Responsibilities:

Coordinate physical health related processes of the HCQU. Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement training (face-to-face, on-line, webinar and home-study) which will increase competency and capacity of medical health care in the community serving developmentally disabled individuals.
  • Assist with the review of health practices and policy development in areas defined by the Lead County and MOC.
  • Assist in reviewing reports and investigations of deaths, injuries, accidents and hospitalizations for trends and outliers agency and county-wide as requested by county personnel.
  • With state, regional, and other HCQU staff, analyze aggregate health patterns and trends.
  • Maintain professional relationships with all Agency Providers, staff, Supports Coordinators and Case Managers, local health care providers, hospitals and hospice providers.
  • Research, develop and present informational materials and products that will assist, educate, and support individuals with developmental disabilities as well as their caregivers/staff and community health professionals.
  • Attend HCQU sponsored functions and activities and perform duties as requested by management team.

Qualifications:
  1. Registered Nurse or LPN
  2. Five (5) years of experience in medical/surgical nursing
  3. Basic computer skills
  4. Group instruction and education experience preferred
  5. Ability to communicate and establish relationships with others
  6. Valid Driver’s license
  7. Act 33, 34 and FBI Clearances
Minimum Compensation: USD $34.00/Yr.

Partners For Quality Inc. (PFQ) is a private, non-profit organization based in Robinson Township. Partners For Quality provides administrative management to five subsidiary organizations that support local individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities and behavioral health challenges. Citizen Care Inc. provides residential, day program, habilitation, supported employment opportunities and behavioral support services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are a non-profit organization, accredited by the Council on Quality & Leadership. Citizen Care has locations throughout the West Hills and South Hills of Allegheny County.

Exceptional Adventures has more than 40 years of experience providing vacation opportunities, social events and monthly dances for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our recreational and travel programs are designed to support guests in a wide variety of activities. Organized trips include motor coach, flight, train and cruise packages which are offered year-round.

Milestone Centers supports individuals with behavioral health challenges and intellectual & developmental disabilities in communities throughout Western Pennsylvania. Our Agency oversees 20 residential settings, two outpatient offices, three adult training facilities, a prevocational enterprise program, a consumer drop-in center, habilitation services, and two Health Care Quality Units in Butler and Warren, which train professionals in 18 counties. Milestone Centers has earned certification from the Sanctuary Institute for providing trauma-informed care.

The Partners For Quality Foundation conducts fundraising for all organizational services and supports.  Partners For Quality Inc. receives operating funds through various sources, private gifts, grants and special events helping the agency go “above and beyond” basic needs. The Foundation’s goal is to build and strengthen PFQ’s support resources to supplement government dollars.
