    Position Summary

    The Nurse Educator enhances professional practice and the provision of quality patient care by providing evidence-based quality educational programs and activities that promote professional competency for nursing, inter-professional, and non-licensed clinical staff at post-acute care facilities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborates with the Trumen Chief Medical Officer to create and adjust the program based on evaluation results.
    • Designs and identifies educational activities to address practice gaps for identified target audiences, including licensed and non-licensed healthcare personnel
    • Develops activities to achieve specific outcomes related to identified deficits or opportunities for improvement in knowledge, skill and practice. Plans educational content delivery that encourages learner engagement.
    • Engages in collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to drive professional development initiatives and achieve optimal results.
    • Participates in the delivery of core, entity-wide learning activities, and may collaborate with other practitioners or interdisciplinary team members.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles
    • Serves as a clinical resource utilizing effective communication skills.
    • Travel throughout the Greater Houston area to support clinical staff at post-acute facilities that are serviced by Trumen Physicians and Associates.
    • Acts as an effective change agent

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited school of Nursing
    • Registered Nurse (RN) - Texas State Licensure OR LVN with at least 4 years of post-acute experience
    • At least four years of nursing clinical experience
    • Nursing professional development experience is preferred
