Overview

The RN Educator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining clinical education programs for Flagler

Hospital employees. This position delivers educational trainings using a variety of mediums while assessing employee

training needs and performing ongoing evaluation of implemented programs

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, and maintains clinical education programs for Flagler Hospital employees and members of the community.
  • Develops unit-specific orientation programs, educational programs, and computer-based learning modules.
  • Coordinates annual competency validation for staff.
  • Coordinates student programs.
  • Serves as a primary resource person for Flagler Hospital employees with regards to clinical education and training

programs.

  • Provides educational offerings through a variety of media including lectures, written materials, on-line presentations, role-playing and other media, as appropriate.
  • Complies with education-related record keeping requirements.
  • Assists with development of policies and procedures, related to clinical education programs.
  • Maintains current working knowledge of Federal, State, and Joint Commission requirements as applied to development and implementation of educational programs

Qualifications

Experience Requirements: 3 years Clinical Nursing

Additional Information Requirement: BSN required or required within 1 year of hire

Experience with analysis and interpretation of federal, state, and accrediting body regulations; Experience in use

of performance improvement-related statistics in evaluating program effectiveness.

Additional Information: Experience with development and implementation of clinical education programs required including experience in formal program evaluation.

Licensing Requirements: Active FL Nursing License, Basic Life Support (BLS)
