Position Summary:
Under the direction of a Licensed Nurse, supports the Nursing Staff by performing basic nursing care to the resident. Assist and maintains a safe and clean work environment. Maintains resident privacy, dignity, confidentiality, and respects resident's rights.
Responsibilities:
- Hourly Rounding including: Pain, Position, Personal needs, and Possessions
- Assist residents in and out of bed and into a wheelchair using the correct lifting and transferring technique.
- Gives residents baths.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of a Michigan State Certified Nurse Aide training program & current State of Michigan certification
- BLS Certification within 3 months of hire
Preferred:
- Previous experience as a Nurse Aide
