Nurse Anesthetist

Credentialing : Must meet requirements set forth by the Medical Staff Office to obtain and retain privileges to practice as an Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist within UF Health Shands Hospital and/or the Shands UF Healthcare Network, as applicable. Overview: Management of patients pre-operatively, intra-operatively, and post-operatively under the supervision of staff anesthesiologists.

Overview: Management of patients pre-operatively, intra-operatively, and post-operatively under the supervision of staff anesthesiologists. Responsibilities:

• Performs a complete health history, preanesthetic assessment and anesthetic care plan for each patient. 
• Implement an anesthetic care plan
• Communication Information
• Participate in teaching and learning
• Demonstrate professional accountability
• Documentation on Anesthesia Operative Record 

Qualifications:

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: A minimum of a Master’s degree in advanced nursing practice is required

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current and clear license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida. Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support.
