Founded in 1938, Wilcox Medical Center is a not-for-profit medical center dedicated to providing the Kaua'i community with accessible quality health care. The largest medical center on Kaua'i, it is a state-of-the-art acute care facility with a full suite of services offering 30 specialties and programs, including cardiology, emergency, family practice, gastroenterology, health management, internal medicine, neurology, OB-GYN, oncology, orthopedics, pediatrics and urology. Its 18-bed emergency department serves as the island's Primary Stroke Center. The medical center also has four birthing suites, seven intensive care beds and 20 same-day surgery beds. Wilcox is the first American College of Surgeons-verified Level III Trauma Center in the state of Hawai'i. The Medical Surgical department provides competent and safe care to patients admitted for acute nursing interventions of 24 hours or more within surgical/medical and oncology services. Our highly trained and professional staff treats people recovering from serious illness, orthopedic problems and major surgery. Medication and treatments are provided in a warm and caring environment that facilitates patient recovery.

If you enjoy working with people and providing warm, compassionate patient care, you could be our next Nurse Aide and assist with a wide variety of nursing duties and procedures in our Medical Surgical department. We are looking for someone enthusiastic and caring, with excellent patient care and communication skills, the ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai'i's people.

Minimum Qualifications: High school graduate. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Nurse Aide course w/certification, OR completion of one (1) year of nursing program, OR successful completion of HPH Nurse Aide Program.

Preferred Qualifications: Current Hawaii Nurse Aide Certification.
