    Nurse Aide

    Overview:

    The Carlyle House is an Assisted Living and Memory care community. This position helps patients by supporting personal hygiene and daily living needs; providing comfort while caring for our residents. We offer two different shifts, Day shift 7am-7pm and Night shift 7pm-7am.

    Physical Requirements:

    This position demands good physical and mental health. The nurse aid will be required to lift, catty, walk, sit, push, pull and work a flexible schedule, must be able to move continuously during work hours and able to lift and/or carry 50 pounds.

    Duties:
    • Provides patients' personal hygiene including assisting with dressing, travel to the bathroom; helping with showers.
    • Provides for activities of daily living by assisting feeding patients as necessary; washing and drying resident laundry, ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.
    • Provides patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients' call lights and requests; reporting observations of the patient to supervisor.
    • Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
    • Maintains work operations by following policies and procedures.
    • Protects organization's value by keeping patient information confidential.
    • Serves and protects the community by adhering to professional standards, community policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and OHSA standards.
    • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations; maintaining licensure.
    • Enhances nursing department and community reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
