Nuclear Medicine Technologist / Multi-Modality Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures using nuclear medicine and PET/CT technology. The technologist will prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate imaging equipment, maintain radiation safety standards, and provide compassionate patient care.

Candidates with qualifications in an additional imaging modality, such as CT or Radiology, are encouraged to apply. New graduates are welcome.

• Perform nuclear medicine and PET/CT imaging procedures according to established protocols and physician orders.
• Prepare, calculate, measure, administer, document, and properly dispose of radiopharmaceuticals.
• Explain imaging procedures to patients and address questions or concerns.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures and ensure their safety and comfort.
• Order and maintain appropriate supplies and radiopharmaceuticals.
• Perform required quality-control procedures on nuclear medicine equipment and radiation-monitoring devices, including:                               

                                       Survey meter
                                       Dose calibrator
                                       Well counter

• Complete daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual equipment quality-control procedures as required.
• Maintain accurate records of radioactive materials received, administered, used, and disposed of.
• Follow ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles and all applicable radiation-safety regulations.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment in accordance with established protocols.
  Collaborate with physicians, healthcare providers, and other clinical staff.
• Perform imaging procedures in additional modalities when appropriately licensed and credentialed.
• Apply critical thinking and technical skills to analyze imaging data and identify potential issues requiring attention.
• Maintain current knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations, protocols, and imaging practices.
