    What We Offer:

    Nuclear Medicine Technologist

     

    The Nuclear Medicine Technologist assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the nuclear medicine equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.

     

    Schedule: 40hrs per week, either 4 10hr Shifts or 5 8hr Shifts

    Location: Heart and Vascular Institute - Charlotte Region

    What We're Looking For:
    • Education:  2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved or NMTCB-recognized Nuclear Medicine Program, required.
    • Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in nuclear medicine, preferred.
    • Licensure/Certification:
      • Certified and registered in Nuclear Medicine by ARRT or NMTCB – RT(N) or CNMT, required.
      • IV Credentialed, required.
      • Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096 for life support training requirement, required.
      • Applicable state license, required.
    • Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing; good communication skills; capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms; working knowledge of various types of nuclear medicine equipment, able to adapt to new and various situations and procedures according to age of patient served; has ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his / her age-specific need
