What Were Looking For:
- ARRT (N) or CNMT certification
- Prior acute care experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
What Youll Do The Nuclear Medicine Technologist I assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the nuclear medicine equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.
What Were Looking For Education:
- 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.
- Graduate of ARRT-approved or NMTCB-recognized Nuclear Medicine Program, required.
Experience:
- Minimum of one year of experience in nuclear medicine, preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
- Certified and registered in Nuclear Medicine by ARRT or NMTCB - RT(N) or CNMT, required.
- Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096 for life support training requirement, required.
- Applicable state license, required.
Additional Skills (required):
- Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing
- Good communication skills
- Capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms
- Working knowledge of various types of nuclear medicine equipment
- Able to adapt to new and various situations and procedures according to age of patient served
- Has ability to interpret information to identify each patients requirements for care relative to his / her age-specific needs
