Nuclear Medicine - Registered Nurse

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Stress Monitor / RN to join our Nuc. Med./Stress Dept. in The Villages & Leesburg. This role focuses on monitoring patients during cardiac stress testing, ensuring patient safety, accurate documentation, and providing clinical support to physicians and technologists in our cardiology practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepares patient for stress test, including patient interviews, obtaining patient consent and signatures, and conducting patient education related to risks and complications
• Monitor patients during cardiac stress tests (treadmill, pharmacologic stress, and other modalities).
• Recognize and respond to cardiac arrhythmias, abnormal vital signs, and patient distress.
• Performs IV placement and administration of medication under supervision.
• Accurately record and report EKG changes, blood pressure, and patient symptoms throughout testing
• Set up and monitor patient through 12 lead EKG stress testing including application of 12 lead EKG monitor pads and application leads.
• Provide emergency response and life support if necessary.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and diagnostic technologists as part of the patient care team.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in accordance with practice and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Current Florida RN license required.
• BLS & ACLS certification required.
• Previous experience in cardiology, cardiac monitoring, or stress testing preferred.
• Strong EKG interpretation skills; must be proficient in reading EKG and have strong familiarity with abnormal EKGS
• Excellent communication, patient care, and teamwork abilities.

Schedule & Compensation:

• Full-time position (Monday–Friday schedule, no nights or major holidays).
