Are you a seasoned Nuclear I&C expert looking to pivot away from the day-to-day grind of hands-on shop floors?
We are seeking a high-impact Nuclear I&C Manufacturing Engineer to provide vital technical supplier oversight for cutting-edge nuclear instrumentation and control systems and electrical components. In this role, you will act as the crucial bridge between internal design teams and our external manufacturing partners.
Please note: While you will occasionally visit supplier shop environments for technical reviews and audits, this is an engineering oversight, design consultation, and supply chain development role—not a traditional, hands-on assembly position.
Technical Supplier Oversight: Monitor supplier performance, review manufacturing documentation, and ensure rigorous compliance with specifications, codes, and QA/QC requirements.
Design & Manufacturing Bridge: Collaborate daily with internal design organizations, translating engineering requirements into actionable manufacturing instructions for suppliers.
Project & Subcontract Leadership: Lead technical proposals, prepare requirements documents, manage schedules, and oversee supplier manufacturing mockup planning and test results.
Supply Chain Quality & Evaluation: Perform supplier capability surveys, grade technical proposals alongside Procurement, and enforce strict nuclear quality standards.
Technical Mentorship: Guide and mentor less-experienced engineers, serving as the technical lead for the I&C Manufacturing Engineering Group.
The Core Requirement: A minimum of 8 years of full-time engineering experience in the development and oversight of manufacturing for nuclear I&C systems and electrical components. (Note: Direct Nuclear I&C experience is an absolute non-negotiable requirement for this position).
Education: B.S. degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited university (Advanced degree preferred).
Regulatory & Code Expertise: Deep familiarity with IEEE codes, regulated manufacturing environments, and nuclear Quality Assurance standards (10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and ASME NQA-1).
Tools & Skills: Demonstrated project management capabilities, strong technical writing skills, and experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
Clearance/Eligibility: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
Flexibility: Work remotely from anywhere within the contiguous U.S. (if outside a 30-mile radius of a physical office).
Competitive Pay: Generous target salary range up to $150,138.
High-Impact Work: Play a foundational role in bringing next-generation clean energy technology to life.
