What Inside Sales contributes to Cardinal Health

Inside Sales & Services is responsible for connecting with existing and potential customers through over the phone sales. We develop strong relationships with an assigned set of customers that will increase account penetration, revenue growth and customer satisfaction.

The Senior Inside Sales Representative is tasked with servicing and growing Cardinal Health's NPHS business as well as working closer with our National and Strategic teams. They are responsible for developing the NPHS business and building relationships with various stakeholders, including field sales, identifying new business leads across their territory, supporting the National/Strategic teams in identifying GPO compliance gaps, working on marketing initiatives, growing top line revenue to meet or exceed budget and leading the ISS team in best practices.


Cardinal Health's pharmaceutical segment operates the world's largest network of nuclear pharmacies and is expanding its positron emission tomography (PET) agent manufacturing capabilities. For over a quarter of a century, the Nuclear and Precision Health Solutions (NPHS) business of Cardinal Health has set the standard for the radiopharmaceutical industry. This business is responsible for manufacturing, dispensing and delivering products that aid in the early diagnosis and treatment of disease. Nuclear Pharmacy Services, whose network of roughly 130 pharmacies fills 65% of radiopharmaceutical unit dose nationwide, has consistently demonstrated leadership through innovation and a commitment to excellence. Position Title & Description: Consultant, Inside Sales

Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of sales and account management concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects:

Responsibilities:

  • May contribute to the development of policies and procedures

  • Works on complex projects of large scope

  • Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems

  • Solutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectives

  • Completes work; independently receives general guidance on new projects

  • Work reviewed for purpose of meeting objectives

  • Demonstrates solution-based selling skills to analyze customer needs and consult with customers to recommend suitable services, products, and solutions to meet the customers' needs

  • Initiate contact with nuclear medicine departments, imaging centers, and healthcare providers in a defined territory

  • Educate potential clients on our compounded products, including cold kits, adjunct medications, and radiopharmaceutical support items

  • Build and manage a pipeline of qualified leads using CRM tools

  • Collaborate with the operations and pharmacy team to ensure accuracy and timely fulfillment of client needs

  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory guidelines (USP <825>, DOT, NRC), and competitive landscape

  • Shadow Outside Sales Representatives and participate in ride-alongs and client visits on a quarterly basis

  • Meet and exceed activity goals and sales targets

  • Transition to an Outside Sales role to build and maintain long-term client relationships in the field

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of inside sales, B2B sales, or customer service experience in a healthcare or technical environment

  • Strong communication and relationship-building
