Role & Responsibilities
We are seeking a Nuclear Safety Analysis Engineer for an advanced reactor developer which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in system transient and thermal-hydraulic modeling looking to further their career in advanced nuclear energy.
Build system transient and thermal-hydraulic models to assess reactor safety performance
Run simulations and hand calculations, matching model fidelity to the problem
Develop safety arguments and technical reports supporting NRC licensing
Partner with a multidisciplinary team and shape analysis workflows in a startup setting
Essential Qualifications
M.S./PhD in Nuclear Engineering or related field, or B.S. plus 3+ years of experience
2+ years with system analysis codes (RELAP, TRACE, MELCOR, GOTHIC, SCALE, Flownex); any code accepted
2+ years thermal hydraulics experience: heat transfer, fluid flow, steady-state analysis
Bonus Qualifications
Mechanistic source term or consequence analysis experience
Graphite performance, PRA, or reactor physics experience
