The NPI Technician will support New Product Introduction (EVT/DVT/PVT) builds by preparing material kits, validating components against BOM requirements, and assisting with line setup and system configurations to ensure successful pilot execution.
Key Responsibilities
Pilot Build & NPI Support
- Execute pilot-run tasks for EVT, DVT, and PVT builds.
- Perform basic SFC transactions and system configurations.
- Track material status and kitting readiness throughout pilot runs.
- Support line layout, workstation readiness, and adherence to work instructions.
Process & Compliance
- Follow SOPs and WIs across all NPI phases.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, audits, and documentation requirements.
- Document traceability and escalate discrepancies as required.
Systems & Tools
- Utilize MIC, MIC QA's, DM Edge, SAP, bmp, MFG, and Power BI.
- Capture production data and support basic reporting and dashboards (training available as needed).
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with IE, TE, PE, NPI, and QA teams.
- Ensure clear communication and handoffs during pilot schedules.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify waste and inefficiencies during pilot builds.
- Propose kaizen improvements aligned with NPI learnings.
Qualifications
- Technical diploma or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with NPI processes (EVT/DVT/PVT).
- Ability to learn and operate internal systems.
- Basic data analysis skills using Excel and Power BI.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to support shifting pilot schedules.
