Level III Residential Treatment Facility


Position Overview


Direct Care Staff provide direct supervision and support to youth in a Level III Residential Treatment Facility. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment while assisting residents with daily routines, behavior support, and life skills development in accordance with each client’s treatment plan.


Key Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 supervision to ensure safety and well-being of residents
  
  
• Support behavior management plans and reinforce positive behaviors
  
  
• Assist with daily living skills including hygiene, meals, chores, and routines
  
  
• De-escalate crises using approved techniques and trauma-informed care
  
  
• Complete timely documentation (shift notes, incident reports, behavior logs)
  
  
• Transport residents to school, appointments, and community activities (as assigned)
  
  
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and appropriate boundaries
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
  
  
• Must be at least 21 years old
  
  
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  
  
• Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and TB test
  
  
• Ability to work flexible shifts (days, evenings, weekends, holidays)
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with youth in residential or behavioral health settings
  
  
• Education in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
  
  
• Crisis intervention or behavior management training
  
  

Skills Needed

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
  
  
• Ability to stay calm under pressure
  
  
• Consistent and fair in enforcing facility rules
  
  
• Strong documentation and time-management skills
  
  

Work Environment

• Residential treatment setting for youth with emotional/behavioral challenges
  
  
• Physically active role; must be able to respond to behavioral crises
