Open Call - Commissary Team
Location: Mercado Little Spain
10 Hudson Yards, New York, NY 10001
Days: Wednesdays - Sundays
Time: 11:00 AM 4:00 PM
Current Openings:
Prep Cook: $18.00 - $20.00/hour, based on experience
Line Cook: $20.00 - $23.00/hour, based on experience

What Youll Do:
- Prepare and execute dishes with precision, following our recipes and presentation standards.
- Set up and maintain your station with care, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with team members and managers to deliver top-tier guest experiences.
- Conduct regular line checks and adjust cooking temperatures as needed.
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout your shift.
- Communicate product needs and kitchen updates to your manager and teammates.
- Step in to support your team during peak hours or as needed.
Requirements
What Were Looking For:
- Open availability with flexibility (minimum of 3 days per week, including evenings, weekends and holidays).
- Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized.
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and knife handling.
- Understanding of kitchen safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
- Previous prep or line cook experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-first mindset.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and handle hot and cold conditions.
- Basic English communication skills required.
