NOW HIRING – AUTOMOTIVE SALES MANAGER
Greater Los Angeles Area | New Car Franchise Dealership
Experienced Closers. Strong Leaders. Results-Driven Managers.
An established franchised automotive dealership in the Greater Los Angeles area is seeking an aggressive, highly motivated, hands-on Sales Manager to join our leadership team.
We are looking for a proven automotive professional who knows how to desk deals, close customers, motivate a sales team, and drive volume while maximizing profitability.
This is not a position for someone who wants to manage from behind a desk. We want a leader who is actively involved on the showroom floor, works deals alongside the sales team, and takes ownership of the department’s performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Desk and close deals: Take an active role in structuring deals, overcoming objections, negotiating effectively, and closing business.
- Drive sales performance: Achieve and exceed monthly new vehicle sales objectives while maintaining strong front-end gross profit.
- Lead from the front: Be visible, accessible, and engaged with sales associates and customers throughout the sales process.
- Train and develop: Conduct daily sales meetings, ongoing training, role-playing, and coaching to improve closing ratios and individual performance.
- Manage the sales floor: Maintain accountability, urgency, professionalism, and a high-performance sales culture.
- Product knowledge: Ensure sales associates maintain excellent manufacturer product knowledge, including features, technology, incentives, and competitive advantages.
- Inventory management: Work closely with dealership leadership to manage inventory, aging units, pricing strategies, and vehicle availability.
- CRM and lead management: Ensure consistent follow-up, strong appointment-setting practices, effective internet lead handling, and customer retention.
- Customer satisfaction: Deliver an outstanding buying experience while resolving customer concerns and maintaining manufacturer standards.
- Department accountability: Monitor daily performance, closing ratios, gross profit, sales objectives, and individual salesperson productivity.
Qualifications
- Previous New Car Sales Management experience required at a franchised automotive dealership.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
- Strong working knowledge of dealership CRM and DMS systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, competitive, performance-driven environment.
- Must be willing to work hands-on and lead by example.
What We Offer
- Competitive, performance-based compensation package.
- Opportunity to join a dealership entering an exciting new chapter under hands-on leadership.
