Want to Learn a Trade? We'll Teach You.

    Manufacturing & Machine Operator Trainees | K & W finishing, inc. | Baltimore, MD

Not everyone wants to sit behind a desk all day. Some people would rather work with their hands, operate machinery, solve problems, and see the results of their hard work.

If that sounds like you, we might have something worth exploring.

At K & W finishing, inc., we specialize in foil stamping, embossing, die-cutting, and other finishing processes that transform ordinary printed materials into something extraordinary. Our work requires precision, patience, mechanical aptitude, and craftsmanship. Our folks take pride in their work, which goes all over the country including the White House.

We're looking for the next generation of skilled machine operators, and we're willing to train them.

Some of our experienced operators have spent decades perfecting their skills. As they approach retirement, we're looking for dependable people who want to learn from them and carry that craftsmanship into the future.

You don't need manufacturing experience. You don't need a college degree. You do need the right attitude. You do need to read, write and do math.

What Kind of Person Are We Looking For?

    • You're dependable. Our workday is 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Our machines and production lines require people working together, so showing up consistently and on time really matters.
    • You like working with your hands. Maybe you enjoy fixing cars, woodworking, building things, or figuring out how mechanical equipment works. You might be surprised how those interests translate into manufacturing.
    • You're willing to listen and learn. Our experienced operators have decades of knowledge to share. The best way to learn is to pay attention, ask questions, follow instructions, and practice. They're not experienced teachers and you'll have to keep that in mind.
    • You're patient. Some of the work is repetitive, and some is incredibly technical. Becoming a highly skilled machine operator doesn't happen overnight. It takes time, practice, and a willingness to learn from mistakes.
    • You take pride in doing things right. Quality matters. Little details can make a big difference in the finished product.
    • You're looking for an opportunity, not just another job. We want people who are interested in developing skills, growing with our company, and becoming part of a dependable team.

    Where Would You Start?

Depending on your skills and experience, you may begin by feeding materials into machines, catching finished products, inspecting quality, packing orders, or assisting experienced machine operators.

These positions are important to our production process and are also a great way to learn how our equipment works.

For those who demonstrate mechanical aptitude, reliability, patience, and a desire to learn, there is an opportunity to advance into machine operation.

We'll provide hands-on training alongside experienced employees who know this trade inside and out. Over time, you can develop specialized skills that take years to master and that relatively few people possess.

Not everyone will want to become a machine operator, and that's okay. We also value dependable production team members who enjoy the work they're doing.
