Description
The Multifamily Construction Project Manager will:
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors
- Lead project execution from preconstruction through closeout
- Manage construction contracts with owners, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Coordinate project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and correspondence
- Support value engineering initiatives and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Ensure all project documentation is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner
- Monitor permit requirements, inspections, and regulatory compliance
- Prepare, update, and maintain project schedules and budgets
- Review and process subcontractor requisitions, invoices, and payment applications
- Work closely with field teams to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget
- Manage project financial reporting and forecasting
- Interpret project data to ensure adherence to cost and scheduling objectives
- Oversee Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) programs
- Coordinate project closeout activities, turnover documentation, and warranty management
Profile
The Multifamily Construction Project Manager should have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of construction project management experience
- Experience managing multifamily construction projects valued at $5 million or greater
- Strong knowledge of construction procedures, building codes, scheduling, budgeting, and safety practices
- Experience managing project budgets and financial reporting
- Proficiency with project management and construction software
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Proven ability to successfully lead projects from start to finish
