This role serves as the primary point of contact for both clients and security personnel, ensuring exceptional service delivery, operational efficiency, and compliance with company standards.The Operations Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Operations and Development and must demonstrate strong leadership, scheduling, personnel management, training, and client relationship skills.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily operations across multiple client locations.Enforce company policies, procedures, and site-specific post orders.Communicate effectively with Security Officers, Site Supervisors, clients, and company leadership.Develop, update, and maintain post orders and standard operating procedures.Prepare and manage staffing schedules to ensure full site coverage.Review and approve employee timekeeping records.Review incident reports and ensure proper documentation practices.Assist with the development and implementation of operational improvement initiatives.Address employee performance, attendance, and personnel matters.Respond to emergency situations, including fire alarms, medical emergencies, accidents, and other critical incidents.Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive client relationships.Review daily activity reports and guard tour reports.Ensure all security staff maintain a professional appearance and conduct themselves appropriately.Coordinate and oversee training for new Security Officers.Maintain a thorough understanding of assigned client sites and operational requirements.Required QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of verifiable security experience.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Ability to pass all state-required licensing and training requirements.Strong leadership and personnel management experience.Reliable transportation and the ability to respond to sites on short notice when necessary.Open availability to address operational needs outside of regular business hours as required.Preferred QualificationsAssociate's Degree in any discipline (preferred but not required).Military service (Active Duty, Reserve, or National Guard).Law enforcement, Auxiliary Police, or Police Cadet experience.Demonstrated and verifiable work history showcasing leadership and accountability.Skills & CompetenciesProficient with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, scheduling platforms, HR systems, and timekeeping software.Experience utilizing security technologies such as guard tour systems, badge access systems, and camera monitoring platforms.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.Ability to evaluate situations quickly and make sound decisions under pressure.Strong attention to detail and follow-through.Ability to effectively manage personnel schedules and site coverage.Comfortable operating radios, telephones, and monitoring systems.Physical RequirementsSecurity Operations Managers may regularly be required to:Lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.Reach overhead while handling materials weighing 10-25 pounds.Climb stairs and ladders.Walk and stand for extended periods.Travel between assigned locations.Work at a computer, keyboard, desk, or tablet for extended periods.Bend, kneel, stretch, and perform routine physical tasks as needed.BenefitsEKG Security offers a competitive benefits package that includes:Paid Time Off (Vacation and Sick Time)Health InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceShort-Term Disability InsuranceLong-Term Disability InsuranceLife Insurance401(k) with Company MatchAdditional RequirementsMust be at least 18 years of age or meet the minimum age requirement established by the state.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.Must possess reliable personal transportation.Military applicants may be required to provide a DD-214 upon offer of employment (if applicable).Join a company that values integrity, leadership, professionalism, and the people who make our success possible.
