The School of Family & Consumer Sciences seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/nontenured faculty to teach courses in Consumer Affairs, Family & Consumer Sciences, Fashion Merchandising, Human Development and Family Sciences, Interior Design, and Nutrition. Temporary/nontenured faculty are appointed to teach one to four courses per semester. Teaching appointments a re based upon student demand on a semester-by-semester basis. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and departmental need. Successful candidates may teach at the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses and /or online, depending on the needs of the academic department.
Please not that this posting is not intended to convey that such a need currently exists. Applicants applying for a pool faculty position will be available to the departmental search committee for consideration in case the need arises.
This posting is for the Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027 semesters.
