The Department of Engineering Technology seeks to develop a pool of

candidates for possible temporary/nontenured faculty to teach in per course capacity.

Temporary/nontenured per course faculty are appointed to teach up to two courses

per semester. Teaching appointments are based upon student demand on a

semester by semester basis. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon

satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to

continuity of funding and departmental need. Successful candidates may teach at the

San Marcos and Round Rock campuses and/or online, depending on the needs of

the academic department.

Please note that this posting is not intended to convey that such a need currently

exists. Applicants applying for a pool faculty position will be available to the

departmental search committee for consideration as the need arises.

Required Qualifications

  • Specific educational requirements vary by position, but a minimum of a master's degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching field is generally required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous teaching experience is preferred.
