Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Nonprofit Recruiter for a highly respected nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to educational and career opportunities. This is a full-time, 3-4 month temporary position based in New York City, NY, with a hybrid schedule requiring onsite work Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The anticipated schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Nonprofit Recruiter will provide hands-on recruiting support across temporary and seasonal instructional positions as well as full-time administrative roles. This individual will manage full-cycle recruiting, maintain strong candidate pipelines, partner closely with hiring teams, and help keep approximately 10-15 active searches moving efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for a collaborative recruiter who enjoys balancing high-volume hiring with professional-level searches in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Own full-cycle recruitment for temporary, seasonal, instructional, and select full-time positions, managing approximately 10-15 active requisitions based on organizational needs.
Develop and maintain candidate pipelines through proactive outreach, referrals, recruiting campaigns, events, and other sourcing strategies.
Conduct interviews, support hiring events, coordinate candidate engagement, and partner with hiring managers throughout the selection process.
Manage recruiting workflows, candidate data, and hiring activity within Greenhouse ATS and Monday.com, including reporting, audits, documentation, and process updates.
Partner with People & Culture and program teams on hiring timelines, headcount needs, onboarding, background checks, compliance, and contingent workforce processes.
Support broader Talent Acquisition operations, including interview days, recruiting inboxes, staffing agency coordination, hiring documentation, reporting, and other priority searches or initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle recruitment across multiple concurrent openings in a fast-paced environment.
Experience recruiting for a mix of temporary, seasonal, high-volume, administrative, professional, or technical positions.
Strong sourcing, interviewing, candidate engagement, and hiring manager partnership skills.
Experience working with applicant tracking systems, ideally Greenhouse, along with comfort using recruiting technology and reporting tools.
Highly organized, responsive, and collaborative approach with the ability to manage changing priorities while creating a positive candidate experience.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This position offers an hourly pay rate of $43-$46, depending on experience and qualifications. Scion Staffing temporary employees are eligible for benefits in accordance with applicable plan terms and assignment eligibility.
