  • Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.



Scope of Services:


  • Provide one qualified Pharmacy Technician.

  • Services will normally be required Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays,from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

  • Approximately 35 one-hour sessions per week, or 1,820 sessions per contract year.

  • The contract consists of one base year and four one-year option periods.

  •  Duties include assisting the pharmacist with ordering, stocking, storing, and dispensing medications; checking medication inventory and expiration dates; supporting Pyxis and other automated dispensing systems; preparing pill-line cards and unit-dose medications; maintaining narcotics, needle, and syringe inventories; maintaining pharmacy records; and performing related computer and clerical duties.




Candidate Requirements:

  • Completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician Program and internship.

  • At least one year of Pharmacy Technician experience.

  • Current BLS/CPR certification.

  • Correctional healthcare experience is preferred but not required.

  • Ability to complete the required background investigation, fingerprinting, health/TB screening, institution orientation, and security requirements.
