We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Permanent Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Technician to join our fast-paced engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive inspections and tests on a variety of materials, products, and equipment to ensure they meet the required safety and quality standards without causing any damage. This role requires a highly skilled professional with a keen eye for detail, a solid understanding of testing methodologies, and a strong commitment to maintaining the highest level of quality control. Responsibilities:
1. Conduct nondestructive testing (NDT) methods like Magnetic Particle (MT) Inspection, Ultrasonic Testing, Radiography, and Liquid Penetrant Inspection to inspect materials, products, and equipment.
2. Interpret and analyze test results, providing detailed reports on findings and recommendations.
3. Develop, organize, and execute detailed inspection plans and procedures.
4. Maintain accurate records of all inspections and testing, ensuring they are up-to-date and comply with company standards and regulatory requirements.
5. Collaborate closely with the engineering team to understand product requirements and ensure they are met.
6. Maintain, calibrate, and ensure proper working order of all testing equipment.
7. Stay abreast of the latest developments in NDT methods, technologies, and industry standards.
8. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff members.
9. Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, contributing to a safe and healthy working environment.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an NDT Technician, specifically with MT Inspection.
2. Certification from a recognized institution in Nondestructive Testing.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of NDT methods, practices, and equipment.
4. Proficient in interpreting blueprints, specifications, and procedures.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts.
7. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
9. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
10. Proficiency in using computer software and applications relevant to the job.
11. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job.
12. A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
