    NeoGenomics is looking for a Non-Technical Laboratory Supervisor for our Molecular department in Aliso Viejo, CA who wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow.

    Shift time: Tuesday-Saturday, 4:00pm-12:30am (subject to change based on business needs)

    Position Summary:

    The Supervisor works closely with the Department Manager, modality Director, Site Director, and is accountable for the accuracy and reliability of all services provided by the specific team under his/her supervision. The Supervisor is responsible for day to day supervision and oversight of the operation, assigning tasks, coaching personnel and for monitoring processes to ensure that acceptable levels of performance are maintained. The Supervisor is also responsible for supporting the implementation of all area procedures and operations as well as ensuring that metrics established to measure quality, production and efficiency are strictly followed.

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Under the supervision of, and in the absence of the Manager of Operations or Director of Operations, the supervisor ensures acceptable performance of all procedures.
    • Provides direct supervision of the operation and personnel performing tasks and reporting of information and results. Supports high quality results and on-time results to meet client expectations.
    • Presents data and/or information across a range of levels including the team and, department, and proficiently answers questions from all groups of staff, managers, and clients.
    • Supports the development and maintains detailed procedures to meet department requirements; ensures departmental SOP's accurately reflects the current process; updates SOP's as needed.
    • Initiates and monitors QC programs for the department; assures compliance with regulations; monitors all quality metrics and ensures that corrective actions are documented and implemented
    • Supports the selection, retention, and training of qualified personnel; ensures that staff are trained and compliant with SOP's and Skills checklists. Coaches team members to support skills development.
    • Ensures all personnel meet the applicable regulatory requirements and have adequate knowledge of the processes and systems for which they are responsible.
    • Actively supports and complies with all company, departmental, and safety policies and procedures.
    • Approves time and attendance records, maintains training files and performs other administrative duties as required
    • Monitors all department documentation to ensure quality assurance.

    Experience, Education and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience in a laboratory setting.
    • Three (3) years of supervisory experience in Healthcare, scientific or related field.
