    Must live within 30 minutes of Jonesboro Arkansas area*

    SUMMARY:

    Assist eligible Medicaid members during their rides to and from appointments.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Perform assigned daily transports in a safe and timely manner.
    • Complete all paperwork required for transportation services rendered.
    • Complete a daily inspection of the assigned vehicle before the start of the day.
    • Assist students as they board and leave the bus and manage student behavior as well as report student discipline problems to the appropriate administrator.
    • Communicate with teachers and parents on a daily basis regarding student behavior while on the bus.
    • Become familiar with all routes to and from the school campus to be of assistance to the driver.
    • Supervise and assist with the use of seat belts, harnesses, or car seats by students.
    • Follow emergency procedures and help driver administer first aid, if necessary
    • The attendant must be courteous, patient, and professional at all times, as well as neat and clean in appearance per the driver handbook.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
    • The employees must regularly lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.

    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
    • All Attendants must be at least 25 years of age.
    • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
