Role Overview
M&D Transportation, LLC is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious driver to transport wholesale goods between distribution centers and customer locations. This position requires a professional driver with a strong commitment to regulatory compliance, safety, and punctuality.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company-owned vehicles to transport wholesale goods on designated routes.
- Ensure all loads are secured and handled with care to prevent damage and maintain product integrity.
- Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Adhere to all Federal and State motor vehicle regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of driving hours, deliveries, vehicle inspections, and incident reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and logistics personnel regarding delivery status, delays, or operational concerns.
- Assist with minor vehicle troubleshooting and report maintenance needs promptly.
- Ensure compliance with temperature-controlled transport requirements when applicable.
- Uphold M&D Transportation’s commitment to safety, customer service, and reliability.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of nine (9) years of experience as a driver, preferably in delivery operations.
- In-depth knowledge of Federal and State motor vehicle regulations, safety protocols, and commercial vehicle operation.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays if required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling sensitive cargo is a plus.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday and alternating Saturdays.
- Shift begins at 4:00am.
Compensation
- Starting pay is $18 per hour but can vary based on experience.
