Job Description / Qualifications
Job Title: Noise Vibration (NV) Development Engineer
Location: Novi, MI (Hybrid: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote *Subject to change to full-time in-office)
Salary: $85,000 / year
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Responsibilities
Product Design: Develop CAD models, schematics, and physical prototypes
based on market requirements and technical specifications.
Testing & Validation: Plan and execute rigorous test campaigns, gather data,
and refine the design based on performance outcomes and failure analysis.
Manufacturing Integration: Collaborate with manufacturing and process teams
to design production lines, select proper materials, and ensure designs are
scalable and cost-effective.
Project Management: Track milestones, manage budgets, and coordinate with
cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to meet project deadlines.
Performs other related duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Design, Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical
Engineering (or a closely related discipline).
Experience
3+ years of hands-on product or systems development in automotive
manufacturing industry.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling, simulation/testing software, and data analysis.
Proficient in MS Office and Outlook to develop and update tracking reports (for
program timelines, status as well as issues and issue resolutions).
Other Skills
Proficient in leading cross-functional virtual meetings and utilizing collaborative
conferencing platforms with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to provide work direction to individuals supporting a project.
Self-motivated, persistent, and hands-on results-oriented.
Well organized with the ability to multi-task with attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong sense of urgency with the ability to take initiative to accomplish goals.
Education
Bachelor degree with applied business experience in the automotive industry.
Travel
Business travel up to ~ 25% based on Howa USA and customer requirements to include
auto and air.
Work Environment:
Currently operating on a hybrid schedule (3 days in the office, 2 days remote).
