Nocturnist Physician | Full-Time

Location: Bluffton, South Carolina

A well-established, nonprofit healthcare organization in the Bluffton, South Carolina area is actively seeking a full-time Nocturnist Physician to join its growing inpatient medicine team. 

2026 Internal Medicine residents are encouraged to apply.

Position Overview

• Provide comprehensive overnight inpatient medical care for hospitalized adult patients

• Manage admissions, cross-cover responsibilities, acute patient issues, and clinical decision-making during night shifts

• Collaborate closely with daytime hospitalists, specialists, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary care teams

• Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care in a modern hospital setting

• Utilize an integrated EMR system to maintain accurate and timely documentation

• Work within a supportive nocturnal hospital medicine program

• Maintain a schedule designed to support work-life balance

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine

• Eligible for South Carolina medical licensure

• Active or eligible DEA registration

• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

• Comfortable managing inpatient medicine responsibilities independently overnight
