    NJTSS Coordinator and Intervention Specialist

    Full-time 10-Month Position with Benefits

    Starting Salaries: Step 1BA - $ 73,699 and Step 1MA - $81,804

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Valid NJDOE instructional certification; Reading Specialist certification and Orton-Gillingham certification preferred.

    2. In-depth knowledge of the New Jersey Tiered System of Supports (NJTSS), evidence-based tiered interventions, and progress-monitoring practices.

    3. Demonstrated knowledge of research-based reading instruction, dyslexia, and multisensory teaching strategies.

    4. Demonstrated knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate instructional practices.

    5. Strong assessment, data-analysis, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

    6. Ability to develop, implement, and monitor individualized and small-group intervention plans.

    7. Ability to collaborate effectively with administrators, teachers, support staff, and families while maintaining a positive learning environment.

    8. Required criminal history check and proof of U.S. citizenship or resident alien status.

    9. Must meet NJ Residency requirements as per the New Jersey First Act, N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L.2011, Chapter 70).

    REPORTS TO: Designated Administrator

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Terms of tenure track positions per collective bargaining agreement. Starting salaries: Step 1BA - $ 73,699 and Step 1MA - $81,804

    • The employee is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid sick and personal leave accruals (pursuant to the collective bargaining agreement), and enrollment in the New Jersey Teachers' Pension and Annuity Fund (TPAF) or the Public Employees' Retirement System.
    • The position is eligible for additional compensation in the form of stipends or tuition reimbursement based on district policy.
