NJ Licensed Ophthalmic Dispenser

Assists members in choosing and ordering eyeglasses.  Uses computer to process orders, fits and dispenses eyeglasses and contact lenses.  Provides and ensures prompt and courteous memeber service.  Follows department procedures.

Assists members in choosing eyeglass frames and lens options appropriate to prescription.

Fits and adjust eyeglasses to memeber using hand tools.

Keys members order into computer.

Checks contact lenses and eyeglasses against prescription  prior to dispensing to memeber. 

Ability to take accurate measurements using pupilomter and taking bifocal segment heights.

Provides and ensures prompt and courteous member service.

Follow safety and security procedures.

Assists in other areas of the department as necessary.

Keeps department clean and organized.
