Job Summary
With safety as a primary responsibility, this Supervisor is responsible for supervising overall plant operations, maintenance and employees to ensure non-stop production of top-quality products.
Job Responsibilities
Ensure all safety rules are followed
Set production goals and expectation
Ensure proper housekeeping of the plant
Analyze scorecards and production reports
Oversee yard/warehouse personnel
Hire, train, promote and discipline employees
Adjust employee schedules to ensure adequate coverage of shifts
Plan and manage raw material and finished goods inventory, ensuring production schedules align with facility capabilities, customer requirements, and financial planning- Plan and manage raw material and finished goods inventory, ensuring production schedules align with facility capabilities, customer requirements, and financial planning
Oversee materials replenishment, quality standards, and performance metrics, while controlling operational costs and identifying cost-reduction opportunities
Maintain accurate documentation, report production hours, and monitor employee timekeeping, ensuring compliance with policies and tracking overtime
Direct workers in electrical, electronic, mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment
Assist and direct workers in diagnosis of malfunctions in equipment and machinery
Observe mechanical devices and equipment to determine proper functioning or identify causes of trouble
Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment
Interprets company policies and safety regulations to ensure compliance and safe work environment
Plan and implement a schedule of routine and preventative maintenance procedures and assign and monitor personnel
Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
Job Requirements
Knowledge of construction products, computers, basic accounting, and inventory
Working knowledge of manufacturing / production plants preferred
Employee management experience preferred
Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and assemble schematic drawings
