What You'll Do

As a Night Shift Machine Operator, you will operate, monitor, and troubleshoot advanced manufacturing equipment used to produce high-quality wire and cable products for customers around the world.

This is more than a button-pushing role. We're looking for individuals who can think critically, identify issues, make adjustments, and keep production running safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate complex manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment
  • Troubleshoot equipment, product quality, and process issues to minimize downtime
  • Perform machine setups, changeovers, adjustments, and operational checks
  • Monitor production processes and make necessary corrections to maintain quality standards
  • Conduct visual inspections and mechanical measurements to verify product quality
  • Read and follow work orders, specifications, procedures, and production instructions
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and equipment performance
  • Accurately complete production, quality, and traceability documentation
  • Work closely with maintenance, quality, and production teams to resolve issues
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Participate in cross-training and ongoing skill development opportunities

Schedule

Night Shift

  • 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM
  • 12-hour rotating schedule
  • Every other weekend scheduled

What We're Looking For:

Preferred Experience

  • Process monitoring and quality control

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to learn and operate complex manufacturing equipment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Strong attention to quality, safety, and production standards
  • Ability to multitask and solve problems in real time
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, including medical marijuana testing

Physical Requirements

  • Stand up to 12 hours per shift
  • Walk for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Push and pull materials weighing up to 66 pounds
  • Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Frequently bend, squat, reach, grasp, and manipulate materials
  • Climb step ladders as needed
  • Work safely in an industrial manufacturing environment
