    Position Summary

    We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Grinder to join our manufacturing and fabrication team. The Grinder will be responsible for grinding, finishing, deburring, and preparing metal components to meet quality and dimensional requirements.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Operate handheld and stationary grinders safely and efficiently
    • Grind, smooth, deburr, and finish metal parts and welded components
    • Remove excess weld material, sharp edges, slag, and surface imperfections
    • Inspect parts to ensure proper finish, dimensions, and quality
    • Use measuring tools to verify finished parts meet specifications
    • Select and replace grinding wheels and abrasives as needed
    • Operate other hand and power tools used in metal fabrication
    • Maintain equipment and report damaged or malfunctioning tools
    • Keep work areas clean and organized
    • Follow all safety procedures and required PPE guidelines
    • Meet production schedules while maintaining quality standards
    • Assist other production and fabrication employees as needed

    Qualifications

    • Previous experience as a grinder, metal finisher, fabricator, or similar manufacturing position preferred
    • Experience grinding and finishing steel or other metal products
    • Ability to safely operate grinders and power tools
    • Ability to identify surface defects and achieve the required finish
    • Basic ability to read work instructions, drawings, or specifications
    • Ability to use basic measuring tools
    • Mechanical aptitude and good hand-eye coordination
    • Strong attention to detail and quality
    • Reliable attendance and ability to work independently or as part of a team
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and safely handle materials
    • Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE
