    Description

    The Night Case Up Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the case up department on the night shift. Coordinates with other departments to ensure the plant is on target with production goals and provides the office with case up and upcoming shipment information. Directly supervises all night shift case up crew. Upholds company policies and follows all quality, safety, health and environmental regulations. This position reports to the Plant Manager.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develops and implements shift assignments and effectively manage a crew of approximately 25+ employees.
    • Manages case up to achieve optimum labor goals.
    • Assist with checking and enforcing attendance for the night shift case up crew.
    • Organizes and reports case up workflow daily.
    • Responsible for reporting work-related injuries occurring in the case up area, initiates investigation when appropriate and addresses all unsafe conditions immediately.
    • Ensures the case up lines have all resources needed to carry out production goals.
    • Ensures all plant operations meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Authorized to work in the U.S.
    • 5+ years of experience in the Alaska seafood industry, preferably with multiple species of fish.
    • Ability to work with a culturally diverse group of employees.
    • Ability to multi-task and effective use of time management.
    • Ability to work long hours, seven days a week during peak season.
    • Ability and willingness to work in Kodiak, AK year-round.
    • Consistent and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position and is required.

    Payroll Information

    Pay periods are biweekly. Our workday is defined as the calendar day, and our work week runs from Monday through Sunday. Employees are paid on the Friday following the end of the biweekly pay period. We encourage employees to sign up for direct deposit but you may elect to receive paper checks instead.

    Compensation is dependent of experience.
