Night Custodian (Part-Time)

JOB DESCRIPTION NIGHT CUSTODIAN (Part-Time) REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager or his/her designee JOB GOAL: To maintain a clean and safe school environment RESPONSIBILITIES: Clean, dust, and sanitize rooms; clean and wax floors; clean windows and stairs; sanitize lavatories, furniture, appliances, and support apparatusOperate equipment needed to complete essential functions including: vacuum cleaner, rug cleaner, hand and small power toolsInstall paper products; deliver supplies and materialsPerform preventive maintenance work, paint, replaces bulbs, ballast, and replace glassRelocate furniture and equipment; complete facility setupsComplete inventory reports, daily cleaning and maintenance reports, and supply ordersComplete building and equipment maintenance tasksKeep exterior walks and lawns free of debris, and complete snow removal and other exterior work related to these functions as may be requestedAttend and participate in training programsKeep equipment assigned to him/her cleanLight carpentry workFollow safety procedures at all timesSecurity detail in the playground areaPerform and assist traffic duties as neededDuties as reasonable requested or assigned by the Supervisor EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:At least three (3) years in a similar position or a position with comparable functions or a graduate of a facility cleaning and maintenance training programKnowledge of federal and state safety regulations that apply to public buildingsAbility to pass a state and federal background check. This position is non benefit eligible.
