Not a morning person? Good. This job starts in the afternoon, runs into the night, and sends you home to your own bed every day. The freight is containers, and none of it needs your hands.
What you'll make
• $1,300 to $1,500 a week on average, which comes to about $67,600 to $78,000 a year
• Steady miles each week, plus short-haul pay for the shorter runs
• Paid every week
How the schedule looks
• Starts at 3:00 p.m. or later, so it's a real night position
• Sunday to Thursday, or Tuesday to Saturday, whichever opening you get
• Home daily
• Weekends are part of the job, and you should be open to working holidays
What you'll be hauling
• Intermodal containers on rail-rented chassis
• Live loads, live unloads, preloads and drop and hook, all no-touch
• Nothing to load, count or strap, so you just drive
What we're hoping you have
• A valid Class A CDL
• Either 6 months of OTR experience (after training) in the last 12 months, or 12 months in the past 5 years
• Comfort with a urine and hair follicle drug screen
• Background details get asked later in the process, like any other job, so you don't need to gather anything to apply
What's included
• Medical, vision and dental
• Paid time off
• 401(k) with a company match
If steady nights and no-touch freight sound like your kind of work, send in an application. We'll take it from there.
