Atlantic Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Cohort at Morristown Medical Center. This cohort begins October 19th.
The Atlantic Health System Neonatal ICU University Program will be completed in conjunction with the AWHONN Neonatal Orientation & Education Program (NOEP). This is a comprehensive education and orientation program for Neonatal Intensive Care Units designed to be highly effective in providing evidence-based, clinical education to neonatal nurses caring for high-risk and vulnerable newborns. For non-NICU experienced RNs with at least one year of nursing experience, this will be a 16-week course that will include 12 weeks of clinical orientation combined with didactic course work and 4 weeks of independent practice. All participants may earn up to 41.25 nursing contact hours.
Essential Job Functions:
The candidate must possess the ability to utilize the nursing process, assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for all levels of neonatal patients served.
Through the model of shared governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidence based care within a healing culture for the neonatal patient population served and their families
