The eXtended Reality Lab is looking for a student assistant.

Job Summary

A student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.

Job Duties

Students working in this role bridge an important gap between Augmented Reality (AR) softwear development and applied solutions in the field. Tasks in this role will include working closely with NIAR staff and customers to develop and deploy AR content to active use cases at customer facilities in Wichita. Projects will involve extensive use of enterprise AR concepts and tools; including but not limited to 3DExperience and Delmia Augmented Experience (DAE).

Primary tasks will include assisting NIAR staff and NIAR''s customers with on-site AR work instruction setup and training following detailed process documentation.

Required Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Additional Requirements

No prior job experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

This job requires off-campus travel within Wichita. Candidates must have transportation to report to off-campus job sites.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Products.

Have great attention to detail.

Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.

Able to work 20+ hours per week.

Ability to work independently on extensive task.

Physical Requirements

Ability to remain in a stationary position.

Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators.

Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
