Case Western Reserve University, Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a postdoctoral fellow position. This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of renewing for an additional year.

In compliance with the City of Cleveland's Pay Transparency Ordinance (effective October 27, 2025), the annual starting base salary range for this position is $55,000 - $63,480. CWRU considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer. Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a closely related field. The successful candidate should have demonstrated expertise in experimental thermal-fluid sciences, combustion, fire science, or a related discipline. Experience in laboratory instrumentation, experimental diagnostics, and prototype or experimental system design is highly desirable. Candidates must possess strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with excellent written and oral communication abilities. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment is essential. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
