The News Producer produces daily newscasts, decides the order in which stories will be told, writes teases and other content, times news programs, edits video, and posts to the website.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
oProduces newscasts for broadcast and streaming platforms
oWrites and approves news stories
oBalances news and feature content to create compelling broadcasts
oEdits video
oWrites stories for the website and other digital platforms
oGathers facts and confirms stories
oPerforms other duties as assigned
Requirements & Skills:
oBachelor’s degree in Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
oFluency in English
oExcellent communication skills, both oral and written
oAbility to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
oFlexibility to work any shift
