    Roles

    The New Student Coordinator will be responsible for supporting campus events and experiences for incoming students. The New Student Coordinator will plan and execute smaller scale on-campus admissions visits and events (group visits, bus trips, individual campus visits) while supporting the Admissions Events Coordinator with overall event preparation. Additionally, this role will maintain a small recruitment territory. This role will manage invitations, communications, registration forms, and materials, as well as all necessary follow-up for campus events. In addition, this person provides support to the entire admissions team as needed to execute campus events.

    Responsibilities

    • Achieve new student enrollment objectives for Northwood University in an assigned market channel territory through assigned enrollment activity as established by the Executive Director of Enrollment and Financial Aid. These activities include but are not limited to:

    • develop and maintain consistent referral generation activities

    • visit high school, corporate and professional organizations

    • attend college day/night programs

    • coordinate bus trips to campus

    • participate in on-campus open house events

    • create and host off campus counselor events

    • develop rapport and maintain working relationships with counselors, business teachers, corporation representatives, professional organizations, and related professionals and groups

    • develop presentation materials for target audience and deliver effective presentations

    • actively participate in assisting students from initial inquiry to NU enrollment (manage pipeline)

    • Coordinate and oversee group visits, including high school bus groups visiting campus and offer a robust experience

    • Coordinate and plan itineraries for individual campus visitors, tailoring schedules to the visitors' unique interests.

    • Organize and communicate visitor itineraries with all individuals included in the schedule, including coaches, faculty, staff, and visitors

    • Brainstorm creative ideas to enhance the visitor experience and better leverage our CRM and other technology

    • Develop communication plan for events including initial invitations and post-event follow up

    • Manage event metrics, tools, surveys, and communication including those in the CRM (Slate)

    • Communicate event details clearly and accurately with admission staff and other campus partners

    • Follow up on all post-event items and keep historical records of event processes

    • Assist admissions counselors by meeting with families individually for daily campus visits

    • Provide weekly activity reports and all necessary documentation in Slate or otherwise required by the director

    • Accurately log and maintain recruitment data in slate in regard to student records and events

    • Evaluate transcripts, if applicable

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree required
    • 1-2 years of event management, preferably in admissions and/or enrollment management
    • Proficiency with CRM required; Slate preferred
    • Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills
    • Valid driver's license at time of hire and maintain valid driver's license while employed; ability to sit in car for prolonged periods of time
    • Ability to travel (intrastate, interstate, regional and/or international where appropriate)
