Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of 5 operations and customer service professionals
Monitor team performance and ensure operational KPIs and service standards are met
Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and employee development
Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on accountability and customer service
Provide daily operational support and escalation management

Airfreight Operations

Oversee international and domestic airfreight shipments from booking through final delivery
Ensure compliance with TSA, IATA, customs, and other regulatory requirements
Coordinate with airlines, overseas agents, trucking companies, and customs brokers
Manage shipment tracking, issue resolution, and proactive customer communication
Review and improve SOPs to increase efficiency and reduce service failures
Ensure accurate documentation, billing, and shipment profitability

Customer Service & Client Relations

Build and maintain strong customer relationships
Resolve escalated customer issues in a timely and professional manner
Support sales and business development efforts through operational expertise and customer engagement
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention

Financial & Branch Support

Assist with branch budgeting, reporting, and profitability goals
Monitor operational costs and identify opportunities for improvement
Support branch growth initiatives and strategic planning
Ensure adherence to company policies and operational procedures

Qualifications

10+ years of freight forwarding experience, with a strong emphasis on airfreight operations
Prior supervisory or leadership experience managing teams
Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and airline operations
Experience with CargoWise or other freight forwarding software preferred
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment
Strong customer service and relationship management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
