Position Summary
Job Summary: Big Horn Heating & Cooling is seeking a Shop Helper to assist with sheet metal fabrication and field operations. This position involves a range of tasks to support our New Construction Team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist Shop Manager with fabricating ductwork
- Pick up and deliver parts, materials, and equipment to jobs
- Assist with New Construction jobs as needed
- Maintain facilities and equipment at the multiple facilities
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Honesty, integrity, and dependability.
- A professional demeanor.
- Emphasis on safe working practices
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds or more
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders or scaffolding
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
- Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions
Work Environment
- Residential and commercial job sites
- Exposure to mechanical equipment, dust, noise, and temperature extremes
- Field-based work with daily travel between job sites
Schedule
- Typically Monday through Friday
- Overtime, evenings, weekends, and on-call work may be required
Travel Requirements
- Local travel within the assigned service area
Performance Expectations
- Ensure all installations meet company quality standards and codes
- Maintain high customer satisfaction and first-time install success rate
- Lead installation teams effectively and safely
Complete accurate and timely project documentation
