    Description

    Sponsler Automotive is seeking an experienced and drivenNew Car Sales Manager to join our leadership team in Ashland, Ohio. This role works directly with the General Manager and plays a critical part in driving sales performance, managing inventory strategy, and leading by example on the sales floor.

     

    We are seeking an experienced, motivated New Car Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive exceptional sales performance and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a proven sales leader who understands dealership operations, can develop a high-performing team, and consistently delivers results.  

     

    The ideal candidate has a strong record of sales success, proven leadership experience, and the ability to manage our team in a way that maximizes profitability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. 

     

    Key Responsibilities 

    • Lead, motivate, coach, and develop the sales team. 
    • Manage daily sales operations, customer traffic, leads, appointments, and follow-up. 
    • Establish and achieve monthly sales, gross-profit, and customer satisfaction objectives. 
    • Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to improve closing ratios and profitability. 
    • Work closely with the General Sales Manager, Finance Department, Internet/BDC team, and service department. 
    • Ensure effective use of CRM and dealership sales processes. 
    • Assist salespeople with negotiations, customer concerns, and closing opportunities. 
    • Maintain strong product knowledge, including current models, features, incentives, and competitive offerings. 
    • Review sales reports, inventory levels, pricing, and market conditions. 
    • Ensure all customer interactions meet dealership standards for professionalism and satisfaction. 
    • Recruit, train, and retain top sales talent.
    • Maintain compliance with dealership policies and applicable automotive regulations. 
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations 

     

    Qualifications – Required 

    •  2+ years of experience in inventory management, sales management, or related role 
    •  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
    •  Proven ability to manage pricing, margins, and inventory turn 
    •  Excellent communication and leadership skills 
    •  Proficiency with inventory management systems and CRM tools 
    •  Ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment 

     

    Qualifications - Preferred

    • Automotive, retail, or wholesale inventory experience 
    • Experience using data-driven pricing or market analysis tools 
    • Prior people-management or team-lead experience
