Job Summary and Responsibilities

You have a purpose, unique talents, and now is the time to put them to work. Were seeking a Neurosurgery Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join a collaborative, high-performing surgical team in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

In this role, youll deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care across the neurosurgery continuum, from clinic to operating room to inpatient support. Were looking for a skilled provider who is passionate about surgical excellence, teamwork, and compassionate care.

In this role, you will provide comprehensive neurosurgical care across clinic, hospital, and surgical settings, including first assisting in the operating room for neurosurgical procedures. You will manage inpatient consults, rounding, and post-operative care as needed, while working closely with neurosurgeons and a multidisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes. You will also guide and educate patients and their families throughout their care journey, serving as a clinical resource, educator, and advocate, while upholding our mission, values, and performance standards.


Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified Neurosurgery PA or NP will need the following:

Required:

  • Masters degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
  • Active Colorado license (PA or NP)
  • PA-C certification (NCCPA) or NP board certification
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Medium work level: ability to exert up to 50 lbs occasionally

Preferred:

  • 2+ years of surgical experience
  • Neurosurgery and OR first assist experience strongly preferred
  • NP candidates must have documented surgical first assist experience

Schedule & Call

  • Weekday schedule aligned with neurosurgery clinic and elective OR cases
  • Minimum of 32 hours/week of in-person patient care
  • Rotating first call coverage (5 PM - 7 AM, weekdays and weekends)
